AIMAN INAM QUETTA: Some 660-malaria microscopy hubs have been placed transversely here in the province. These are meant to detect and verify the diffusion of the ailment, said the chief of the Malaria Control Program in Baluchistan, Dr Kamalan Gichki. “The government would carry out anti-malaria spray and provide people with medicines. A malaria reference laboratory had also been set up in Quetta that would confirm findings of the microscopy centers”, Dr. Gichki further told. Anti-malaria spray campaigns have been carried out in a variety of localities. There people are also provided anti-mosquito nets and medications. A malaria information structure has been set up in Baluchistan to assemble monthly records of patients suffering from the malady. According to the estimates, presently the ailment has affected 21 regions in Baluchistan.
