M. M. ALAM KARACHI: The rumor making the rounds in the Metropolis is that 34-year-old Fatima (grand daughter of former prime minister Zulfikar Ali) Bhutto, daughter of Mir Murtaza Bhutto is about to launch a Political Party. Karachi-based (r/o 70-Clifton) Fatima was born in Kabul when Murtaza was running a militant outfit Al-Zulfikar while in exile during the dictatorship of general Ziaul Haq. A graduate of Columbia University and University of London Fatima Bhutto had spent her early life in statelessness. After the assassination of her father her mother Ghinwa Bhutto told this scribe that former president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari had called her at home. When Fatima received the phone she was told that her father has been shot dead in front of her front gate. When her aunt Benazir Bhutto was assassinated it was believed that she would enter the politics. It is however, difficult to understand why now?
