MELBOURNE: Dean Jones, former Australian batsman said on Monday that Indian ace batsman Virat Kohli is the ultimate example for Pakistani players. In an interview, Jones surged Pakistani players to follow Virat Kohli’s example if they aim to put up consistent performances for their country. “Kohli is the level that the Pakistani cricketers like Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq need to get to,” said Jones. Referring to Kohli’s healthy conditions and fitness, Jones said: “Just look at the example of Virat Kohli. He’s lifting 150kg weights. The guy has a body fat of less than 8%.” “Pakistanis should work on their fielding aspects and their attitude to every aspect of their game,” Jones added. Dean Jones further said that he doesn’t believe that too many Pakistani cricketers are athletes. “Pakistani cricketers need to take care of their bodies and consider it as ‘their temple’,” he said. Kohli has been India’s standout performer since his debut in 2008 and has played match-winning knocks on numerous occasions. Earlier, the Indian batsman revealed that he is not fit enough and wants to become the best athlete in the world. Though Kohli is fittest Indian cricketer around but he is not happy with that.
