M. M. ALAM KARACHI: When Abdul Qadeer Khan, known as father of Pakistan’s nuclear program, was asked for his comments on appearance of his late brother, wife and daughters’ names in the Panama Papers, he insinuated that since his brother was a banker he might have been involved in such a transaction without informing his family. According to the Leaks, an entity (registered in December 1998 and de-registered in 1999) in the Bahamas as Messrs. Wahdat Limited is owned by Khan’s wife (Hendrina), two daughters (Dina, Aisha) and late brother Abdul Qayyum Khan. Khan claiming the he was totally ignorant of the existence of any such company asserted that his wife and daughters’ signatures must have been forged in the Wahdat registration documents.
