PCB to hold All-Rounders’ camp after Eid

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to hold an all-rounders camp after Eid-ul-Fitr to find the likes of Abdul Razzaq and Azhar Mahmood. According to a PCB official, the board will arrange a camp to fill the vacuum created by top all-rounders of the national team. “Several players in recent times have tried to become regular all-rounders but they have failed to fill the vacuum created by Abdul Razzaq and Azhar Mahmood,” said the official. PCB Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq had also expressed the need to find suitable all-rounders. Earlier this month, while talking to the media, Inzamam said that the cricket board cannot hope and wait for an all-rounder to pop up. “PCB wants to start grooming all-rounders. PCB has asked regional coaches to send names of players who are all-rounders, even in the Under-19 and Under-17 categories, so that all possible candidates can be given maximum chances,” he said.
