LONDON: Shahryar Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Sunday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wants him to complete his tenure as the PCB Chairman. In an interview, he said that PM is in full support of him and he wants him to continue his office till his three-year tenure expires in August 2017. “We (Shahryar and PM Nawaz) have personal and family terms,” Khan said adding that they both have known each other for more than 30 years. PCB Chairman also said that he had met the PM to enquire about his health. Terming himself as the most responsible person of the cricket board, Khan said that he has to take care of each and everything that happens in the board. “As the chairman, I am responsible for everything, no matter what decision we take together.” Referring to former chairman Najam Sethi, he said that he respects Sethi and they are close friends. “We are like brothers. We take important decisions together. Sometimes he has a different point of view, but that doesn’t matter – we sort that out as colleagues,” he said.
