US to train 10,000 PhDs from Pakistan under ‘Knowledge Corridor’: Ahsan

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning, Development, and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal has said that 5th generation cellular services would be launched soon to ensure the fastest connectivity. This he said while addressing ‘Pakistan StartUP Cup’ competition for young entrepreneurs here on Wednesday. The minister said around 10,000 PhDs from Pakistan will be trained in the US universities under Pakistan and the United States ‘Knowledge Corridor’. Ahsan Iqbal said the government inherited big challenges of terrorism and energy shortage in 2013, but now the western media and think tanks considered Pakistan as the most ideal country for investment. He said political stability and continuation of economic policies are a must for the country’s development. Iqbal further said that Pakistan is the first country to adopt Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 agenda through a unanimous resolution of Parliament as Pakistan Development Goals.
