M. M. President Obama has said that the matter of Gulen;’s extradition will be dealt with according to the laws of the country. Nevertheless, Gulen has rejected the charges and condemned the attempt to topple Recep Tayyip Erdoğan government. Turkey that has abolished death penalty in 2004 (as it has been trying to get into EU) is contemplating to reinstate the capital punishment. This will make its chances to get EU membership further bleak. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu
